Training: In the event of wet weather, Hammondville Park may be closed for training. Please check the header of this website to confirm if fields are open or closed. This notice will be updated after 3.30pm during the week.

Matches: Always assume your game is on unless advised otherwise by your team coach or manager. If you are unsure prior to travelling to your game, contact your team coach or manager to confirm.

Members can also check for information on ground closures and/or game relocations on the Southern Districts Football Association Facebook page. If your field is not listed, your match will be on.

The latest Player’s Equipment Policy from Football NSW. This refers to wearing of jewellery, glasses, hats etc while playing.

Parents’ Code of Conduct

1) Never ridicule any child for making a mistake
2) Remember, children play soccer for their enjoyment, not yours
3) Children learn by example, so encourage good play by both teams
4) Do not abuse or ridicule the referee – without them, there may be no game
5) Recognise the value and importance of volunteer coaches. They give their time and take care of your children freely
6) Support your child’s performance, rather than the final score – this allows your child to have realistic and achievable goals
7) Avoid derogatory language based on gender or race
8) Take an interest in your child’s game. It is important to support them in a positive and caring manner
9) Encourage skill development over winning at all costs

Players’ Code of Conduct

1) Play by the rules of the game
2) Do not argue with the referee
3) Do not resort to any form of violence
4) Work hard for your team – remember it is a team game
5) Be positive and encourage lesser players
6) Treat all players like you would like to be treated yourself
7) Work hard at improving your skill levels
8) Listen to your coach’s advice
9) Watch and play as much soccer as possible
10) Avoid language that is derogatory of race and gender
11) Do not cheat your opponents, yourself or the game
12) Thank your parents and coaches for helping
13) Enjoy the game for the game’s sake

Spectators’ Code of Conduct

1) Remember that children play organised soccer for fun
2)Remember that they are not small adults or miniature professionals
3) Positive comments are more motivational to children than negative ones
4) Condemn the use of violence in any form
5) Encourage players to play by the rules in a sporting manner
6) Support the team coach – remember, they are volunteers
7) Do not swear on the sideline or use language that is derogatory in race or gender
8) Remember, children will copy your actions, both positive and negative
9) Respect referees and other officials in the decisions that they make

FNSW Insurance

Important Information regarding insurance coverage which is included as part of your registration.

Whilst the plan provides basic levels of cover for players and others participating in Football, it is not all encompassing (this is necessary to keep the cost of insurance affordable for players) and does not seek to replace the need for private health and other insurances.

Football NSW encourages all players and officials to take out their own private health insurance, life insurance and ‘Top Up’ coverage over and above the coverage provided under this plan. Gow-Gates can assist in regard to ‘Top Up’ insurance and other insurance requirements.

Administrators Code of Conduct

1) Involve players in the planning, evaluation and decision making related to the competition
2) Ensure that there are equal opportunities for participation in soccer, regardless of ability, size gender, disability or ethnic origin
3) Ensure that the equipment and facilities are safe for those participating in soccer
4) Ensure that the rules, equipment, playing and training time take into consideration the age and maturity level of players
5) Ensure that your coaches are accredited and have the opportunity to gain accreditation
6) Ensure that children’s soccer is based on enjoyment and not geared towards extrinsic reward
7) Ensure that referees are accredited and given support towards accreditation
8) Ensure that all participants in soccer receive a copy of the appropriate code of behaviour
9) Ensure that all language is gender neutral and avoid derogatory language based on gender

Coaches’ Code of Conduct

1) Be reasonable in your demands on young players’ time and energy
2) Teach your players to support the rules of the game and never to argue with the referee
3) Avoid over-playing the talented players – give all players an equal opportunity whenever possible
4) Never ridicule a player for making a mistake or yell abuse from the sideline
5) Be positive at all times
6) Respect the advice of trained medical staff as to when a child should play soccer
7) Do not smoke or drink alcohol in front of young players
8) Make every attempt to gain accreditation
9) Dress in the appropriate manner
10) Avoid language that is derogatory of race or gender
11) Be a positive role model for your sport and athletes
